Abstract Modeling large energy systems requires different forms of simplifications and aggregations. This is especially true for hydropower systems. One way to simplify the modeling as a part scale utilize so-called Equivalent models. The model simplified area with only one (or few stations) which aims mimic behavior an Original more detailed containing all stations in specific area. However, drawback has been that fails match highest production peaks real system. Methods increase maximum have so far resulted overall lower performance, where during instead would be overestimated.
